More then 6 Lakh disabled voters in State Rajasthan to make accessibility in voting for persons with disability at the ensuing Lok Sabha election in INDIA.
With the objective to build a handicapped people friendly environment, involving handicapped persons in the social participation and ultimately bringing them to the mainstream of the society contributing to nation’s economy, the MESSAGE Org. Jaipur has urged the Chief Election Officer (CEO) Mr. Ashok Jain, Rajasthan to make accessibility in voting for persons with disability at the ensuing Lok Sabha election.
Addressing a press conference in this regard at Pinc city Press Club here today, In the flage ship of MESSAGE Org. pointed out that there are around More then 6,00000 disabled persons who are eligible for casting votes in the state of Rajasthan.
The MESSAGE Organization has drawn the attention of the Persons With Disability (PWD) Act, 1995 which says, “The appropriate Government and the local authorities shall within the limits of their economy capacity and development, provide for causing curb cuts and slopes to be made in pavements for the easy access of wheel chair users, ramps, Braille, symbols and auditory signals (Article 45 and 46)” .
The MESSAGE Org. then appealed for ramps (for physically handicapped), Braille symbols and auditory signals (for visually impaired) and sign boards and sign language interpreter (for hearing impaired) under the PWD ACT 1995 in the polling stations of the upcoming election.
It also mentioned that as in the New Disability Bill, the Election Commission of India and the State Election Commission shall ensure that all polling stations are accessible to persons with disability and all materials related to the electoral process are easily understandable by and accessible to them.
The MESSAGE Org. seeks for the large population of disabled persons to live independently with dignity.

सामाजिक सरोकारों से जुडी मैसेज संस्था द्वारा लोकसभा चुनाव 2014 में नि:शक्त जनों की भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करने हेतु ‘कैम्पन बी विद अस’ के तहत एक अभिनव पहल का आगाज किया गया है। मैसेज संस्थान द्वारा इसी कडी में मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त श्री ए.के.जैन को लिखित मे ज्ञापन दिया। ज्ञापन में नि:शक्तजनो के हितार्थ पीडब्लडी एक्ट 1995 के तहत होने वाली सभी बेसिक सुविधाएं नि:शक्तजनों के लिए राज्य के सभी मतदान बूथ पर सुनिश्चित हो। श्री ए.के जैन ने यह आश्वासन दिया कि वह सभी व्यवस्था को सही प्रकार से हो इसके लिए सभी यथा संभव प्रयास करेगें।
मैसेज संस्था ने पिंकसिटी प्रेस क्लब में नि:शक्तजनो के हितार्थ पीडब्लडी एक्ट 1995 के तहत होने वाली सभी बेसिक सुविधाएं नि:शक्तजनों के लिए राज्य के सभी मतदान बूथ पर हो इसके लिए सभी प्रमुख राजनैतिक पार्टीयों के साथ एक मंच पर एक आवाज में प्रेस के माध्यम से ये अपील की।
मैसेज संस्था की कन्वीनयर पूर्णिमा कौल के अनुसार कार्यक्रम में सभी प्रमुख राजनैतिक पार्टीयों के प्रतिनिधी मौजूद थे, जिसमें बीजेपी से प्रवक्ता ज्योति किरण, कांगे्रस से अर्चना शर्मा समाजवादी पार्टी (जयपुर ग्रामीण प्रत्याशी) धीरज गुर्जर, आप पार्टी से डॉ. वीरेन्द्र सिंह व जमींदारा पार्टी से चारु गुप्ता(राष्ट्रीय महिला अध्यक्ष)मौजूद थे। सभी ने एक आवाज में नि:शक्तजनों के हितार्थ व शत-प्रतिशत मतदान हो इसके लिए यथा संभव सहयोग करने का आश्वासन दिया।
कार्यक्र में अवनीश मलिक ने कहा कि अपने मत का अधिक से अधिक उपयोग करना चाहिए। अगर कोई किसी भी अंग से प्रीाावित है तो उसके लिए बहुत ही दुखी की बात है। वहीं, भाजपा प्रवक्ता डॉ. ज्योति किरण ने कहा कि हाल ही में जारी हुए पार्टी के मेनिफेस्टों में नि:शक्तजनों के खास प्रावधान है और इस चुनाव में नि:शक्तजन अधिक से अधिक भाग लें इसके लिए पार्टी भी पूरी कोशिश करेगी। वहीं, समाजवादी पार्टी के लोकसभा प्रत्याशी धीरज गुर्जर के अनुसार नि:शक्तजन अंतरआत्मा से ज्यादा सेंस्सेटिव होते हैं और से भी इन चुनाव में अधिक से अधिक भाग लें इसके लिए हम सभी को अपने स्तर पर प्रयास करने होंगे। कांगे्रस पार्टी की प्रवक्ता अर्चना शर्मा के अनुसार पार्टी नि:शक्तजनों के लिए प्रयास करती रही है और संस्था द्वारा आज का यह अभिनव प्रयास है और हम सभी मिलकर इसमें सहयोग करेंगे।
इस अवसर पर उद्योगपति व समाजसेवी भाई पंचशील जैन, भाई रवि कामरा के साथ नवदिशा संस्थान अलवर से अवनीश मलिक, दिव्यदृष्टि संस्थान से सतीश त्यागी, नॉलेज पुल सोसायटी के अभिषेक शर्मा सहित कई बुद्धिजीवी व सभी मीडियाकर्मी मौजूद थे।
MESSAGE 
This time Election Commission had given special emphasis on inclusion of women and young voters. This proved very fruitful as number of these two sections of voters has increased considerably.
